Airport Security

Honestly, I don't mind arriving at the airport an hr early just to waiting in a long line, taking my shoes off, dump out the contents of my purse, seperate my lip gloss, hand sanitizer and lotion out into a ziplock back, throw away my bottle of water, nail file and clippers if it really is indeed making me more secure as a fly to my choice of destinations. I don't however, appreciate going through all of that only to find that once I pass through security I can sit down and have a steak at outback steakhouse, with a steak knife. I can also purchase any number of sharp objects or dental floss in the stores. We left for Vacation last week and happened to be flying as there were attacks on mumbia, so the security level was at orange. I believe thats why I was promped to toss my clippers, although last year they passed right through at the same airport, which was Denver International. We arrived at the airport in plenty of time so we did a little browsing and I was very disappointed in our country's attempt to make us feel safe. It seems like a waste of time when we can purchase these items 20 yards from boarding an aircraft. I took these pictures while Tomas picked out a magazine to read on the plane! I just think its interesting and worth looking into. I honestly don't feel any safer than I did before, and I think its a shame that these can still be sold AFTER a security check, yet my family can't walk me to my gate anymore or I can't take a drink through!
These sissors look pretty sharp to me!
I had to toss mine in the trash before passing through security, but I could purchase these after I got through??? HHHMMMM
I watch "how its made" and it says that razors are the sharpest thing, sharper than steak knives!
