These towel pets are worth going on a cruise for in itself!

Yay! So even though I wasn't pleased with the whole Airport thing, and I thought about it a lot during my 3 and a half hour flight to Orlando, I was so happy to finally begin our vacation. It has been a tradition of ours it seems to vacation over the Thanksgiving holiday. This year was no execption, besides the fact that we had dinner at our house, and then left 2 hours later. We left my poor mom to clean up and pack our children and take them home with her. My only problem with the timing of our vacation, is of course Black Friday! Haha, we did actually get up early Friday morning and hit a few stores in Denver before our flight. We didn't buy much, but my husband wanted to go to Bass Proshop and try and catch a few deals. Once we landed in Orlando and collected our luggage we breezed through the airport, rented our car and drove to our motel. We thought it was fitting to eat dinner that night at Bahama Breeze, as thats where our final destination would be! We spent one day in Orlando and went Ocean fishing, which I have never done before. It was a great day, calm sea, but no fish for us!!! We had a blast though and were pooped by the time we got back to our motel room. The next morning we got up early, mostly because we were so eager to get on the ship. We are definately cruise people. (This was our 3rd, and our 4th will be in Feb. with the whole family!!) Anyways, we reserved a penthouse suite and got the VIP treatment. If you've cruised before, you know about the lines, and man was I glad to skip them! We waited behind two groups, and we had chairs, and they offered us drinks! So check in was very quick and easy. Once on board we checked things out, Tomas scheduled a hair cut, and I unpacked. Great first day really. It was a short cruise, only a 4 day and we hit Freeport Bahamas, and Nassau. Freeport was kinda drizzily (light rain???) but warm and we shopped and explored the island and beaches. The next day was Nassau, and we did a history of the island/city tour and ended our day with a trip to the Atlantis resort and spent the rest of the day at the water park there, which was awesome! We opted to walk from Paradise Cay back to the ship, which was about 3 miles. But it was beautiful and we had time, there was no need to be stuck in a taxi. We finished off our trip with a day at Kennedy Space Center. I had no idea it was a wild life preserve and we saw sooo many alligators!! Anyways, it was a great vacation, much needed, and I can't wait to go back one day!

Airport Security

Honestly, I don't mind arriving at the airport an hr early just to waiting in a long line, taking my shoes off, dump out the contents of my purse, seperate my lip gloss, hand sanitizer and lotion out into a ziplock back, throw away my bottle of water, nail file and clippers if it really is indeed making me more secure as a fly to my choice of destinations. I don't however, appreciate going through all of that only to find that once I pass through security I can sit down and have a steak at outback steakhouse, with a steak knife. I can also purchase any number of sharp objects or dental floss in the stores. We left for Vacation last week and happened to be flying as there were attacks on mumbia, so the security level was at orange. I believe thats why I was promped to toss my clippers, although last year they passed right through at the same airport, which was Denver International. We arrived at the airport in plenty of time so we did a little browsing and I was very disappointed in our country's attempt to make us feel safe. It seems like a waste of time when we can purchase these items 20 yards from boarding an aircraft. I took these pictures while Tomas picked out a magazine to read on the plane! I just think its interesting and worth looking into. I honestly don't feel any safer than I did before, and I think its a shame that these can still be sold AFTER a security check, yet my family can't walk me to my gate anymore or I can't take a drink through!
These sissors look pretty sharp to me!
I had to toss mine in the trash before passing through security, but I could purchase these after I got through??? HHHMMMM
I watch "how its made" and it says that razors are the sharpest thing, sharper than steak knives!

A Day at the Park

Okay I know we did this back in November. (On the 18th actually. Which was my 4th anniversary, however, Tomas had to work so we (we being me and the girls) spent the day at the park with our friends and then spent a few hours at the mall before we met Tomas for dinner.) Anyways, this is the first time that I have found time to sit down and blog in awhile! I couldn't believe what a great day it was for a park day.

They went down the slide together. Such sweet girls!

Ryleigh really enjoys the slides, while Kaedynce is my swing girl!

Tiera and her little man Jerikei

My kids were the only ones with their jackets on, and they ditched those pretty quick because it was so nice.
All in all, it was a really great day, and we made up for missing our anniversary together with a great vacation!!!
